High Chiefs Kameeiamoku and Kamanawa are the Royal Twins and were the supportors and chiefs of King Kamehameha the Great at the uprising of his dynasty. They were cousins to King Kamehameha's father, Keoua-nui. Another brother of the twins who had helped Kamehameha was Keaweaheulu, for he was his General.

The twins are the one's seen on the coat of arms of the Hawaiian Monarchy, on the left is Kamanawa and the right is Kameeiamoku. The family of the Kalakaua are the direct descendants of Kameeiamoku and his brother Keaweaheulu and for this reason Kamehameha III officially proclaimed Kalakaua, Liliuokalani and James Kaliokalani eligible to the throne and was groomed at the Chiefs Children's School. Upon the second time that the throne was left vacant, Kalakaua was elected to be king under the constitutional law.
