High Chief Keoni Ana was born on March 12, 1810 in Kawaihae, Hawaii. He was the only son of John Young, a trusted adviser to King Kamehameha I. His mother was the High Chiefess Kaʻoanaʻeha, the niece of Kamehameha the Great.
He married Julia Alapai, but had no children, so he adopted his nephew, Peter Ka'eo.
High Chief Keoni Ana died July 18, 1857.
