Prince William Pitt Kinau's mother was Princess Ruth Keelikolani a half sister of King Kamehameha IV and V and his father was High Chief William Pitt Leleiohoku. He was entered in the Chiefs' Children's School and was eligible for the Hawaiian throne. Unfortunatley, Prince William Pitt died on 

September 9, 1859 at the age of 16.
